Covid-19 guidelines for OKK from the 26th of October 2020.
There are new guidance and rules concerning gatherings in sports associations in Denmark.
To remain open, we have organized the club so that we still will be able to climb while following the new guidelines. It is important that every member complies with the rules and support the imposed limits.
Meetings with more than 10 people are prohibited. This must be obeyed.
We meet this requirement by sectioning our gym I several smaller zones. Inside each of these zones, meetings of up to 10 people are allowed (depending on the size of the zone). Walkways and zones are indicated with tape on the floor where you will also find signs with the number of people allowed in the specific zone.
Starting the 29th of October, everyone must wear a face mask or a face shield inside our gym whenever you are not actively working out or climbing. This means that all stays outside climbing zones requires wearing a face mask. However, when you have chosen a zone and stay inside this zone, you may take off your face mask.
During our opening hours, it is only allowed to stay in our gym with the purpose of climbing. This means that staying in our couches to relax or talk is no longer allowed; therefore, we have removed our furniture so that this is not possible.
Climbing works by the principle of first come, first served. This means that you can not be certain to climb on any specific route. Our gym’s maximum capacity is 45 climbers with the new restrictions; therefore, it is likely you will not be able to find an available zone.
Zones
Rope climbing route 0-10 (max 10 people)
Rope climbing route 12-25 (max 10 people)
Landing area upstairs (max 10 people)
Heated boulder area (max 10 people)
Bouldering cave (max 5 people)
Workout area (max 2 people)
To access the landing area upstairs, climbing wall 12-25 and the bouldering cave, you must follow the new walkways through the sports hall. Staying in the walkways is prohibited. They are only for walking between zones and for the instructors to observe the climbers.
We ask that you do not stay in the kitchen area and reception area. The instructors may stay here for shorter periods of time.
The instructors must as much as possible avoid staying in the zones and instead keep to the walkways when they observe the climbers. Instructors do not count as part of meetings or assemblies. Safety comes first; therefore, instructors are always allowed to enter any zone to ensure safety is maintained.
The locker rooms are not able for use since it is not possible to access them without entering a zone, therefore you must have changed into your sports wear before arriving to the gym.
Make sure to bring a bottle into the zone so that you do not have to leave it to get water.
Family climbing team
The family climbing team can continue as before. Kids and young up to the age of 21 are allowed to be gathered up to max 50 people during exercise activities. This includes trainers and other helpers who are necessary to the activity.
Thursdays from 16:30-18:00 o’clock the gym is open only for the family climbing team. The gym is closed to everybody else in this timeframe.
Junior team
The junior team can continue as before.
Mondays from 17:00-19:00 o’clock all the rope climbing zones and the landing area upstairs are available only to the junior team.
Theme Thursdays
Theme Thursdays will be moved to Tuesdays from 19:00-21:00 o’clock.
Tuesdays from 19:00-21:00 o’clock all rope climbing zones and the landing area upstairs are available only to the Theme Thursday team (now happening on Tuesdays).
Intro courses
Wednesdays and Sundays will have intro courses as before. Now there is a maximum of 9 people participating in a course by first come, first served. An intro course will take place in rope climbing zones 1-10; therefore, access to these zones for everybody else is limited Wednesdays and Sundays.
Face masks
Everyone, who is not either climbing, belaying, using the workout area, stretching or warming up must wear a face mask starting the 29th of October 2020. This means that everyone who is not currently staying in a zone, must wear a face mask.
